Most of the restaurant are open around 12PM, but what if your class finishes at 11AM or just want to have some quick warm food?
S found an interesting and hidden Korean restaurant which was close to Manchester Metropolitan University. It was located at the behind of the building and the Main Street. However, you can see the sign once you turn to the corner and see the entrance easily.
Once you enter into the restaurant, you can see the an open kitchen and there’s more dining area downstairs. Just a quick reminder, only cash is allowed here.
There are different dishes for different days as you can see on the menu as below.
Since S came here on Monday, S got Kimchi & Chicken Fried Rice with a small box of Chicken Dumplings. It is quite a good value with the addition price of £1.5 for the small box which you can get either soup or other small bites with your main dish.
Kimchi & Chicken Fried Rice is cooked with onion and marinaded chicken, and the sauce of the fried rice is typical Korean spice sauce with kimchi flavour but not spicy. The texture of the fried rice is rather moist than dry compared to usual Chinese fried rice. Chicken dumplings on the other hand were better than S expected, since they fried the dumplings. The outside of the dumplings is super crunchy with juicy filling inside.
Overall if you need to have lunch earlier than the normal time, and also want something warm to have around the school area. Definitely can come here to have a try!
