An amazing Melbourne inspired coffee shop on Burton Road
S has been hearing good things about Another Heart to Feed for awhile and she decided it was time for her to try it! S has walked past the cafe several times but she had never noticed it was there. There is no clear sign for the cafe besides a little board in front of the cafe. The cafe is located on Burton Road which is the same road as Rustik is on.
S visited when it was quite early so it was luckily not too busy, and the staff were friendly and energetic. The cafe is dog friendly which means you can just come in and have a drink when you walk past while you’re walking with your dog.
Their website seems to either be down or abandoned, since there’s no way to get to their website. Therefore, S will provide their menu below. Turkish Eggs (£8) and the Organic Mushroom with Goat Cheese (£7.5) were the dishes S ordered that day. S went back for another visit because she saw some special dish that she wanted to try. Smoked Salmon (£8.6) and the Weekly Special (£8) were the ones S had for the second visit.
S has never tried Turkish Eggs before so she didn’t know what to expect. The sauce was slightly sour like the taste of yogurt which was perfect to eat it with the sourdough. Moreover, the spicy chorizo gave this dish a nice little kick which definitely enriched the layers of this dish.
S was debating between the Organic Mushroom dish or the Smashed Avocado dish, and she decided to try the Organic Mushroom dish first. The mushroom was fresh and it went so well with the goat cheese. S really enjoyed this dish and it was definitely better than S was expecting!
The Smoked Salmon on Rye with caper cheese was very delicious! The portion size of the smoked salmon was more than S thought it would be, and it went so well with the caper cheese. Moreover, the plating was excellent and added an extra level of quality to the dish.

S saw this dish from one of the members of the kitchen team, and he specially arranged this dish for S to try it out. It seems that they have the same kitchen team with the Thyme Out Cafe. The Kung Pao Chicken Benedict is the spicy chicken drenched in sriracha-kimchi hollandaise on crumpets!! If this was on the regular menu, S would literally visit here EVERYDAY! The chicken has a very nice kick and who doesn’t like crumpets? It was surely an amazing dish and S really hopes they could put this on their standard menu.
S finally understands why people have been recommending this place. The vibe is super chill and the food is fresh and delicious. However, it gets quite busy around lunch time and the music was a bit loud. Hence, if you want to have a slow and relaxing morning, you might want to visit earlier to avoid the crowds.
